Russell Investments - Johan Cras, head of Russell's EMEA institutional business, has been promoted to chief executive of EMEA, succeeding Frédéric Jolly, who resigned in July to found his own business. Cras joined Russell in 1996 to found the firm's Amsterdam office. At the same time, Pascal Duval has been promoted to executive managing director, EMEA.
Baring Emerging Europe - Jonathan Woollett was appointed as a non-executive director to the board on July 23, having previously worked as a director with the European Bank for Reconstruction & Development (EBRD) in London.
Mercer - Steve Jenkins has been appointed as product development leader and a principal in Mercer's outsourcing business, having previously worked with Capita as a transition director for its life and pension services. Kevin Small has also been appointed as a principal and online services product manager, having joined from Reuters. And Punter Southall's Steve Charlton has joined the London office as principal within the retirement business, specialising in defined contribution (DC) pensions.
Schroder Property - John Harding (pictured, right) has joined the firm to take up the newly-created role of business development director, property. He was previously at Morgan Stanley.
Lane Clark & Peacock - Kevin Frisby has been appointed as senior consultant based in Winchester while Tracey Brown as consultant in London. Both join from HSBC Actuaries and Consultants.
Sacker & Partners - Associates David Saunders and Robin Simmons have been promoted as partners.
Scottish Life International - Royal London has announced a new executive team following the merger of the Scottish Life International and Scottish Provident International businesses. David Kneeshaw, currently chief executive of Scottish Life International (SLI), has been appointed chief executive of the combined business. Simon Pack is now international sales director, with responsibility for the international sales teams in Germany, Hong Kong, the Middle East and South Africa while David White, from Scottish Provident International Life Assurance (SPILA), has been appointed as UK sales director. Mike Crellin, currently finance director at SLI, has been appointed as finance and commercial director. Dave Cameron, currently operations and IT director at SPILA, will become the operations director.
Hewitt Associates - Colin Bullen has recently moved from South Africa and begun working for the retirement consulting practice in the UK.
Hermes - Malcolm Gordon, Charles Kittrell, Nikki McMaster have respectively joined the marketing team as director client relations, associate director business development, and as manager for client communications. Gordon was previously at F&C Asset Management, while Kittrell joins from Gartmore and McMaster was at Credit Suisse.
Xafinity Claybrook - Robin Morris-Weston has joined as operations director, focusing on evolving and expanding the delivery of a range of pensions software solutions and services. He previously worked at Atos.
