IBM United Kingdom Pensions Trust Limited - Senior pensions and policy specialist Adrian Furnell will leave IBM on Friday to take up the position of group pensions manager at AAServices/Saga Group in the UK.
Nordea - Fredrik Rystedt take up his new position as head of group corporate centre and chief financial officer on 15 September. He was previously senior vice president and chief financial officer for Electrolux Group. He will replace Arne Liljedahl, who leaves Nordea at the end of the year.
Henderson Global Investors - David Jacob, head of fixed income and co-managing director of listed assets, has been promoted chief investment officer and managing director of listed assets. Bill McQuaker, head of multi-manager funds, will head equities, while Mitesh Sheth was promoted to deputy head of fixed income. All changes will be effective from 4 Novembe.
Mercer - Craig Burnett has been promoted to defined contribution (DC) consulting leader for Europe. In this new role, Burnett will help to grow Mercer's DC pensions business and develop approaches and new service offerings in this area.
Watson Wyatt Worldwide - DTZ's Soo Kobberstad has been appointed as senior investment consultant in the London investment manager research team and BlueSilver Alternative's Yodia Lo as an investment consultant in Reigate.
UBS Global Asset Management - Antonio Alvarez-Diaz has left Aberdeen Property Investors to join UBS as a European portfolio manager for the global real estate fund of funds group. He will be responsible for all investments in European real estate funds on behalf of the fund of funds and clients. Alvarez-Diaz is based in Stockholm but also part-time in London.
Insight Investment - April LaRusse has joined the fixed income team as a senior product specialist, focusing on the UK. She joins from F&C.
Unigestion - Kostas Iordanidis was appointed managing director, head of hedge funds in Geneva. He joins from Olympia Capital Management in Paris.
Baring Asset Management - Katie Bowmar joins as head of product development in London and reports to George Harvey. She joins from BlackRock.
Teslin Capital Management - Sylvia van Waveren has left Dutch asset manager PGGM after 18 years to join Teslin in Maasbergen as investor relations and corporate governance manager.
Sophis - Willy Contrada, joining from Misys, will head of Sophis' new operations in Italy.
CFA Institute - Brian Singer, previously chief investment officer for UBS Global Asset Management, has been elected chair of the board of governors of the CFA Institute, the global association for investment professionals that administers the CFA and CIPM curriculum and examination programs worldwide, beginning his one-year term on September 1.
