The Pensions Regulator - Graham Brammer has been named as a new executive director with lead responsibility for the design and delivery of the new employer duties contained in the current Pensions Bill. He was formerly director, account servicing operations and board director of UK retail banking for the Barclays Group.
P-Solve Asset Solutions - Mercer's Martin Johnson has started in the newly-created role of investment director in the risk management solutions business in London.
Rpmi - The Pension Protection Fund's Manraj Ahluwalia has been appointed head of investment strategy at RPMI while Buck Consultants' Leo George is joining as investment manager for strategy. Ahluwalia will take responsibility for investment strategy for the railways pension schemes and will work alongside Keith Shepherd, head of investment management and Joyce Martindale, head of investment operations. George will work with Ahluwalia on investment strategy and structuring ideas.
Hermes - Kees Verbaas, formerly at ABN Amro Asset Management where he was head of global emerging markets equity management, has been named as executive director for emerging markets equities.
Baillie Gifford - Bond experts Duncan Sutherland, from SWIP, and Aegon's Donald Phillips have joined the fixed Income department, as part of the credit team. Susan Swindells has joined as client service director from Fischer Francis Trees & Watts.
BDO Stoy Hayward - Neil Fung-On has left Smith & Williamson to become a specialist investment management and funds partner within the financial services group. BDO Stoy Hayward Investment Management has recruited KPMG's Matthew Norton to the risk benefits team. He will work as a senior consultant specialising in flex consulting, while Allyson Gayle, previously at Lane Clark and Peacock, is now associate consultant. Heema Mistry and Stephanie Corr have joined as assistant consultants from Aon and Hymans Robertson respectively.
RWC Partners - Chris Shale will be joining Carmel Peters and Kirsty McLaren to launch the RWC Asia Ascent Fund. Shale arrives from Sofaer Capital where he worked alongside both Peters and McLaren.
BNP Paribas - Cyril Meilland is joining BNP Paribas' investor relations and financial information team. Meilland was previously the sell-side analyst in charge of French and Benelux banks at Lehman Brothers in London. Alan Cameron was named the new head of clearing, settlement & custody client solutions in London, joining next month from Citibank.
Man Investments - Patrick Merville has been promoted to chief executive officer for the Middle East operation following the retirement of Antoine Massad.
Schroders Property - Ubbe Strihagen will leave Aberdeen Property Investors in Stockholm to become director of business development for the Nordic region.
Threadneedle - Peter Mackaness has joined the property team as an investment specialist from AXA Real Estate Investment Managers.
Aberdeen Asset Management - Aegon's Annelies IJsseldijk has been appointed as a senior business development manager to further strengthen the business in the Netherlands.
T. Rowe Price - Marja Kooistra, previously at ABN Amro Asset Management, now works for T. Rowe Price's European institutional sales and client service team based in Amsterdam.
