Watson Wyatt - Geert-Jan Troost is set to join the investment consulting practice as a senior investment consultant in the Amstelveen office. He joins from Cardano.
Corestate Capital - Alexander Hoff was today appointed to the management board of the Zurich-based company. In his capacity as chief investment officer (CIO) and member of the investment committee, Hoff will be responsible for the international expansion of the real estate and investment portfolio of the private equity and investment company. Thomas Landschreiber, who previously had dual responsibility for this position, will now focus exclusively on his role as chief operating officer (COO).
TKP Investments - ING Investment Management's Roelf Pater has been appointed as head of client services and investment strategy.
Swisscanto - Benno Weber is joining the asset manager as head of fixed income from next year in April. He will join from UBS Global Asset Management. The position was previously held by Anna Holzgang, who left earlier this year. In the interim, Mondher Bettaieb-Loriot will serve as head of fixed income.
Kas Bank - Rolf Kooijman has been appointed as chief financial officer. He currently serves as director of group finance and control at Delta Lloyd Group in Amsterdam.
Union Investment - Karl-Joseph Hermanns-Engel will leave Axa Group to joine the management board of Union Investment Real Estate. Hermanns-Engel replaces Michael Montebaur.
HSBC Actuaries and Consultants - Paul Armitage has been promoted to a new role as head of defined contribution.
Invesco Perpetual - Bank of Ireland Asset Management's Paul Boyne is joining as fund manager within the global equities team in Henley.
Morgan Stanley Investment Management - Richard Ford has returned to the global fixed income team as managing director and portfolio manager. Having recently moved from Pimco, he will be a senior member of the European fixed income team and will be responsible for managing London-based fixed income portfolios.
Aberdeen Property Investors -The new structure of the company, following its integration with Goodman Property Investors will continue to be led by Rickard Backlund while Jon Lekander, formerly CIO at Aberdeen Property Investors, is now head of the combined indirect investment management team. Anders Åström, the former managing director of Aberdeen Property Investors indirect investment management, and his deputy, Tomas Otterud, have both decided to leave the company. Andrew Smith, previously head of strategy and indirect investment management at GPI, is CIO with oversight of fund management in investment strategy and research and will oversee all international property transactions activities, led by Malcolm Morgan who joined the business as part of the DEGI acquisition. Also, a regional structure has been put in place. Pertti Vanhanen will lead the Nordic region, including Eastern Europe, and remains managing director of Aberdeen in Finland. Bärbel Schomberg, CEO of DEGI, is head of continental Europe covering Benelux, France and Germany. And John O'Connor, previously managing director at GPI, will be responsible for the UK region.
Mercer - Principal Nick White has been elevated to the role of director of consulting Asia Pacific for Mercer's investment consulting business.
AXA Investment Managers - Portfolio manager Roman Berri from 47° North Capital Management, senior operational due diligence analyst David Canty, previously at Global Asset Management, senior strategy analyst Aninda Nath from Barclays Global Investors, and strategy analyst Wesley Thornburgh from Grace Brothers Management have joined the fund of hedge funds platform in London.
Bank of New York Mellon Asset Management - Simon Putt, previously at Fidelity International, has been appointed director, head of UK institutional client relationship management. It is a newly-created position and he is based in London.
LaSalle Investment Management - Credit Suisse Securities' Akira Nishimura has been appointed as head of client services in Japan, based in the Tokyo office.
Stoxx Limited - Ricardo Manrique has joined the company from Standard Bank as chief executive officer (CEO) in Zürich, effective immediately. He replaces Lars Hamich, who left last year to join Van Eck Associates Corporation.
