CB Richard Ellis Investors - Shaun O'Connor has been named chief financial officer (CFO), have joined from GE Real Estate. Laurie Romanak, the global head of investor reporting, had been serving in the CFO capacity.

Resolution Asset Management - Tim Sweeting has left Credit Suisse to fill the newly-created role of head of alternatives at RAM in London.

Hermes - Chris Godfrey has been appointed as head of performance analysis and risk reporting. Godfrey joins from New Star Asset Management where he was head of performance and investment risk.

Threadneedle - Nick Ring (pictured, right), has left his previous position as head of Northern Trust International Wealth Management and chief operating officer of Northern Trust Global Investments International, to join Threadneedle in the newly-created role of global head of product.

Standard Life Investments - Andrew Millington has been appointed as UK equities investment director. He was previously employed by Baillie Gifford within their UK equities team and as manager of the Baillie Gifford income fund.

Ortec Finance - So Fun Wong has joined as senior consultant. She will be primarily occupied with projects giving advice to boards of pension funds on strategic asset management. Most recently she worked as an investment analyst for Iris, the research group of Rabobank and Robeco.

Penfida Partners - Martine Trouard-Riolle, until recently head of the corporate risk management team at the UK Pensions Regulator, will be joining Penfida this month as a senior adviser.

BDO Stoy Hayward Investment Management - John Smutniak has joined the alternatives fund-of-funds team from Lyonross Capital Management, where he was portfolio manager of a number of alternative fund of funds. Dev Jadeja has also joined as a hedge fund analyst from Old Mutual Asset Manager while Rahul Saito has arrived as a hedge fund analyst, from RMF (Man Group).

Groupe Consultatif Actuariel Europeen - Peter Prieler, general secretary of the Austrian actuarial organisation AVÖ, has been appointed as the new chairman of the Groupe for the term of one year, replacing Dutchman Ad Kok.

Boardroom Consultants - Gerald Santing, who left the Dutch financial markets Authority (AFM) earlier this year, has launched a new consultancy firm, advising corporate sponsors of pension funds, focused particularly on outsourcing.

BlackRock - John Athill has joined the UK institutional account management team as a director, reporting to Juliet Bullick. He previously worked for Schroders.

Aon Consulting - Kevin Smith and Paul Hartfield have been named directors to the pensions administration team. Smith has been promoted to transition director, while Paul Hartfield, from Xafinity Paymaster, has taken up the post of client service director.

IPD - Angela Sheahan has been promoted to become the new head of indices. Her main role will be to manage the production and delivery of IPD's suite of property investment indices.
