GLOBAL - USS, Cardano, Bouwfonds Asset Management, T. Rowe Price, Pioneer Investments, Laven Partners, SAM, Pimco, LG, Architas, Insynergy.
Universities Superannuation Scheme - Sweta Chattopadhyay and Tim Tyshing, private equity analysts, have joined the USS private equity team. Chattopadhyay has moved from ABN Amro Bank in London, while Tyshing has arrived from ANZ Banking Group in Melbourne, Australia.
Cardano - Andrew Rankin has started at the London-based operations team, focusing on implementing Cardano's investment decisions, including managing transitions between fund managers. He joined from Barclays Global Investors.
Bouwfonds Asset Management - Jeroen Looman has joined the Hoevelaken-based asset manager as head of institutional clients. Looman was previously employed as managing director with Sparck Hypotheken.
T. Rowe Price - Josef Bossi, Swiss managing director at State Street Global Advisors, has left to join T.Rowe Price as senior business development executive focused on Switzerland and Liechtenstein. Based in Zurich, he will focus on developing and managing client relations.
Pioneer Investments - Werner Kretschmer has left Bank Austria to take over as head of investments in Austria and CEE, following a reorganisation within Pioneer.
Laven Partners - London-based Kevin Quinlan has been appointed director. He joined from IMS Consulting and previously worked for the FSA Enforcement Division.
Sustainable Asset Management - Stephanie Feigt has been named as the new chief investment officer, replacing Christian Werner who has decided to leave the company. Chief executive Reto Ringger will also leave the company in February 2009. Ringger started SAM in 1995 but the firm is now majority-owned by Dutch asset manager Robeco, itself part of Rabobank. SAM has yet to announce his successor.
Pimco - Stuart Graham has been named president of Pimco Canada, based in Toronto. He joins from MFC Global Investment Management, replacing retiring Margaret Isberg.
LG - Ron Burgess has joined the pensions team of the business law firm as a partner. He arrives following a secondment to the Pensions Regulator, where he worked in both the clearance and the scheme-specific funding teams. Prior to that, he was a senior lawyer at Allen & Overy.
Architas - Anna O'Donoghue has taken on the role of senior investment analyst, joining from F&C Asset Management. Additionally, two investment analyst roles have been announced: Steve Allen, from Morgan Stanley; and Quentin De Bottini, who has previously worked for Hewitt Associates and Reuters. Investment sales manager roles have been filled by Kieron McLoughlin, who previously worked with M&G and then Skandia, alongside David Tasker, who also worked at Selestia Investments. Evelyn Olusanya has also been appointed investment analyst, coming from First Company Financial Ltd.
Insynergy Investment Management - Andy Gibb joins the newly-launched investment boutique as business development director from Skandia Investment Management.
