GLOBAL - UBS, Putnam, T. Rowe Price, Axa IM, First Private, Jyske Invest, Laven Partners.

UBS Global Asset Management - John Dugenske will be head of fixed income - US and Canada moving to Chicago in January. Dugenske joins from Neuberger Berman in London, the former asset management business of Lehman Brothers, replacing John Penicook Jr.

Putnam Investments - Clare Richer and Andra Bolotin have been hired as senior managing director and chief financial officer, and managing director and controller, respectively. Richer joins from Fidelity Investments, while Bolotin arrived from Fidelity HR Services.

T. Rowe Price - AXA Rosenberg Investment Management's Laurence Taylor has been appointed as a global equity portfolio specialist based in the firm's London office. Taylor will be responsible for covering global equity strategies for clients and prospects in the EMEA region.

Axa Investment Managers - JP Morgan's Graham Nicol has been appointed as head of credit ex-US and Swisscanto's Mondher Bettaieb Loriot has been appointed as senior portfolio manager, both within the fixed income credit team in London.

First Private - Richard Zellmann has been promoted as managing director of the Frankfurt-based asset manager. He was previously head of institutional sales. Tobias Klein will remain founder, partner and CEO of the company, now concentrating on the portfolio management of the company. Zellmann is replacing Klein's responsibility for sales and marketing.

Jyske Invest - Torben Gerber, previously sales director of HSBC Global Asset Management, will start in the same role at Jyske.

Laven Partners - Kevin Quinlan has been appointed as director, joining from IMS Consulting. He will focus on FSA authorisations, fund set-ups and compliance controls.
