Nordea, UBS, Hewitt Associates, APAPR, Partners Group, Mandarine Gestion, Affiliated Managers Group, Mercer

Nordea - Ingrid Bonde, managing director of AMF Pension, is replacing Christer Elmehagen on Nordea's Nomination Committee following Elmehagen's departure from AMF. The committee members are: Viktoria Aastrup, senior investment manager at the Swedish Ministry of Enterprise, Energy and Communications, as chairman of the committee; Kari Stadigh, deputy CEO of Sampo Abp; Mogens Hugo, chairman of Nordea-fonden; Ingrid Bonde and Hans Dalborg, chairman of the Nordea board of directors.

UBS - John Dugenske, currently head of European and Middle East fixed income at Neuberger Berman, is joining UBS Global Asset Management in January head of fixed income in US and Canada. Having worked at the former Lehman Bros' asset management divisions since 2004, he will replace John A. Penicook Jr, who was co-head of global fixed income, alongside Rob Gambi, but has decided to leave UBS. Gambi is now global head of fixed income.

Newton Investment Management - Paul Brain, who has been alternate manager of the global bond portfolios for four years as well as investing a number of credit portfolios, has been promoted to investment leader of fixed income, replacing Stewart Cowley who is leaving the company. Brain will take on Cowley's porfolio management and report to Jeff Munroe, chief investment officer. And Newton's credit analysts will now also report to Simon Pryke, investment leader for global equity research.

Hewitt Associates - Andy Cox has been promoted to managing director for the UK and Ireland, succeeding Yvan Legris who was announced earlier this year as one of Hewitt's global presidents. He was previously head of global benefits consulting.

APAPR - Mihai Bobocea is joining the Romanian Pension Funds' Association in January to take up a newly-created role as secretary general, where he will manage the body's daily communications activity, data gathering, administration and publications. He is currently senior editor at PRIMM Insurance & Pensions Magazine and editor-in-chief of www.pensiileprivate.ro (www.privatepensions.ro).

Partners Group - Tilman Trommsdorff, partner and formerly with senior management roles in private markets and portfolio management, will take over responsibility for a new portfolio and risk management department from 1 January 2009 and will be appointed to the board. Michel Jacquemai, partner and head of the former alternative strategies department, will no longer be a member of the executive board. Partners has also replaced the ‘Principal' label. Five managing directors have been appointed: Andrew Davis, general counsel; Moritz Elmiger, head of technology and infrastructure; Dr. Remy Hauser, head of private capital and private finance operations; Marlis Morin, head of product management, and Dr. Michael Studer, for risk management. Seven principals have become partners: André Frei, chief risk officer; Nan Leake, private real estate; Brooks Lindberg, head of structuring services, Mark Rowe of product services; Reto Schwager, headof distribution partners; Marc Weiss, of private real estate and Dr. Cyrill Wipfli, of business strategy and corporate development.

Mandarine Gestion - Andreas Krebs has joined the recently-founded nvestment management boutique as partner responsible for distribution in Germany, based in Frankfurt. He was previously managing director for marketing, sales and client service at Commerzbank Europe (Ireland).

Affiliated Managers Group - Gordon Hogarth has been named as managing director in charge of European distribution. He was previously head of European sales and marketing at Northern Trust Global Investments.

Mercer - Martin Meerkerk has left Hay to become the new head of Mercer's human capital consulting business in Europe and the Middle East.
