GLOBAL - Hewitt Associates, Mercer, Skagen Funds, Pensions Management Institute, RBC Capital Markets
Hewitt Associates - Anne Swift has returned to the company to become chief investment officer within the UK defined contributions team, with specific responsibility for Hewitt's DC investment platform services. She left Hewitt two years ago to go to BlackRock as director of the organisation's account management group as well as investment officer for its DC business.
Mercer - Katharine Photiou has joined as a principal in its strategic benefits consulting and delivery team, to help reshape the benefit packages clients offer their empoyees. She has previously UK corporate strategy manager for employee benefits and corporate platform wraps at Friends Provident Life & Pensions.
Skagen Funds - Torkell T. Eide has just joined as a new portfolio manager within the equities team. He was previously senior analyst/partner at the hedge fund AKO Capital LLP in London.
Pensions Management Institute - Lesley Carline from Threadneedle, Fiona McDonagh from Marks & Spencer and Kevin LeGrand from Buck Consultants have been elected to serve on the PMI Council from tomorrow (9 July). Martin Good of Origen and Wallace Law of The Government Actuary's Department have also been re-elected to serve a further term.
Olympia Group - Marc Landeau, chairman and founder and Jacques Darmon, chief executive officer, have decided to withdraw from their operational management roles in order to dedicate themselves to strategy and supervision - a move which they say is a continuation of initiatives launched several years ago. A supervisory board will take the place of the board of directors, on which both Landeau and Darmon will sit along with its major shareholder. Laurent Dupeyron becomes chairman and CEO of the executive board and remains responsible for sales, marketing and product development. Guido Bolliger becomes chief investment officer and director of the executive board. He has been co-chief investment officer since 2008. Arnaud Beyssen becomes director of the executive board and retains his current roles as chief financial officer.
RBC Capital Markets - Minako Endo has been appointed director and head of institutional fixed income sales in its Tokyo office. She was previously director of non-yen bond sales at Merrill Lynch in Japan. Chris Tam is also now director of the Hong Kong office. And Carmine Meoli, Arif Hussein and Peter Drewienkiewicz recently joined the fixed income and currencies sales and trading team in London.
