GLOBAL - Finansinspektionen, New Finance Capital, Cheyne Capital, BNY Mellon, Hermes, PensionsFirst, Finance Capital Partners, Invista Real Estate
Finansinspektionen (FIN-FSA) - The Finnish Financial Supervisory Authority has appointed Auli Kumpulainen as head of the markets division from 14 December 2009. She previously worked at Handelsbanken and Hansapank. Erkki Kontkanen has also been made head of the general secretariat and chief adviser at the FIN-FSA from 1 January 2010. He was previously head of financial industry legislation and txation at the Federation of Finnish Financial Services.
New Finance Capital - Marc Romano is joining the specialist fund of hedge funds, which is also wholly-owned by Schroders, as chief executive from 18 January 2010. He was previously CEO and head of multi-management at Credit Agricole Asset Management (CAAM) Alternative Investment. He will report to Marc Hotimsky, who will become executive chairman of NFC, in addition to his responsibilities as chairman of the investment Committee.
Cheyne Capital - Tom Wiggin is now head of UK marketing. He will take care of the marketing in this newly-created role, working alongside Max Nardulli who was recently appointed head of international sales and distribution. He previously worked at Deutsche Bank in London as managing director responsible for European hedge fund relationships.
BNY Mellon - Jeannine Lehman is now head of client relations for international securities lending. She was previously managing director for integration during its post-merger era.
Hermes - Rebecca Chesworth has been appointed as director and investment specialist for its smaller companies team. She was formerly at Threadneedle working on communications concerning UK equities.
PensionsFirst - Simon Parr has joined as finance director and Rob Stuart as general counsel. Parr was previously group financial controller at IAG-UK while Stuart arrived from MKM Longboat, a multi-strategy hedge fund.
Future Capital Partners - Piers Denne has joined as head of sales and marketing, with extended responsibility for the company's business development campaigns. He previously worked at Gartmore, Fidelity and Threadneedle.
Invista Real Estate - Robin Broadhurst will resign as an independent non-executive director of the real estate firm at the end of December 2009. Olivia Dickson, an existing independent non-executive director of the Board, will become senior independent director. Douglas Gardner, who has previously chief executive of Brixton Estates, will be joining the Board as an independent non-executive director from 1 January 2010 and chair the investment risk committee.
