Aon Consulting - Two new chief executives have been appointed: Piyush Chaudhari is now CEO for the consultancy's EMEA business, while Alistair Connell will take on the role for the UK business on July 1. Chaudhari replaces Robert Middleton and was previously chief operating officer and CEO of global benefits at Aon. Connell is currently managing director of benefits solutions and pensions consulting for Aon.
Mercer - Bill Muyskento has been appointed chief investment officer for alternative alpha strategies, a newly created global role within Mercer's investment management business. Muysken has more than 20 years investment experience, including as a portfolio manager for Thames River Capital's multimanager alternatives team.
Scottish Widows Investment Partnership - Two new appointments have been announced at SWIP's equities business. Mike McNaught-Davis has been promoted to the newly created role of head of international equities, a result of the company combining its global developed and global emerging markets teams. Peter Cockburn has been made head of UK equities after working as acting head since September 2009.
AXA Investment Managers - Martin Hall, head of AXA IM UK and Nordics, has left the company. In the interim, COO Simon Lopez, head of UK sales Rob Bailey, and global head of distribution Jon Bailie have taken over the role until a successor is appointed.
The Townsend Group - Nick Cooper, former CEO of ING Real Estate Select, has joinaed as principal in the London office to develop the firm's real estate multi-manager investment management business in the European and Asian markets.
Principal Global Investors - Seema Shah has joined the London-based global fixed income team as strategist/economist. Previously, Shah was an economist with Capital Economics.
KAS Bank - Chairman of the supervisory board DJMG Baron van Slingelandt has retired with immediate effect and vice-chairman JMG Frijns will temporarily fulfill the position. As soon as a new member of the supervisory board has been found, a special shareholders meeting will be held.
Close Brothers - Mike Lightfoot has been appointed pensions director to spearhead Close Brothers' qualifying recognised overseas pension scheme (QROPS) offering. He joins from IOMA Horizons, where he was the managing director responsible for developing its Isle of Man QROPS offering.
Jupiter Asset Management - Guy de Blonay will be appointed co-manager of the Jupiter Financial Opportunities Fund on June 1, to work alongside Philip Gibbs, on 1 June 2010. De Blonay joined Jupiter in an advisory capacity in January 2010 from Henderson New Star.
HSBC Securities Services - Cian Burke and Drew Douglas have been promoted to co-heads of the business, reporting directly to Samir Assaf, head of global markets, and to Andrew Long, head of global transaction banking. A number of appointments have also been made to the team in New York this year: Gregory Cahaly, US head of operational risk; Gerald Donaghy, global tax manager; Robert Crowley, head of US tax reporting for the fund services team; Scott Karp, head of fund accounting and financial reporting in the US; Thomas Higgins, head of the Americas regional pricing team; Roman Osidach, senior fund administration manager.
Xafinity Paymaster - Mark Lilly has joined from Mercer as a business development lead in Xafinity Paymaster's private sector business division.
Mayfair Capital Investment Management - Ned Pumphrey has been appointed investment director and head of transactions. Pumphrey joins from Belfast-based Deramore Property Group where he ran its London office.
Arbuthnot Real Estate Investment Management - Dana Eisner is to join as head of client and consultant relations. Eisner has worked in a variety of senior marketing positions at AXA and Citigroup in Australia for more than 10 years.
