State Street Global Advisors (SSgA) - Paul Brakke will retire as the company's senior managing director and head of the global structured products group at the end of 2010 after almost two decades at SSgA. Lynn Blake will then assume the role of global head of Index Equity following Brakke's retirement. Blake, who has been at SSgA for 23 years, will report to global CIO Rick Lacaille in her new position.

United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) - Christiana Figueres has been appointed executive secretary of UNFCCC and has therefore left the Carbon Rating Agency, where she was vice-chair. Figueres has previously worked as an official negotiator on the Kyoto Protocol, as well as the UNFCCC.

JPMorgan Cazenove - Miranda Cockburn and Roger Clarke will be joining Matrix Group in September 2010, having departed JP Morgan Cazenove. Cockburn, who started as a Chartered Surveyor at Savills, will be partner focusing on real estate specialist sales, while Clarke will depart JP Morgan after 23 years to work as a real estate specialist sales trader for Matrix.

JP Morgan Asset Management - Kevin Coughlan has been named head of Ireland business, working out of Dublin. Coughlan, who previously worked for Dexia Asset Management, will report jointly to UK Institutional team and International sales distribution.

Aberdeen Asset Management - Andrew Smith has been appointed the group head of property, tasked with further developing Aberdeen's property business. He is replacing Rickard Backlund, who will step down from full-time work in September. Andrew has been with Aberdeen since 2002, when he joined as head of investment strategy and was most recently CIO and head of fund management in the property team.

Clearwater Capital Partners - Rob Petty, the company's managing partner and co-founder, has been appointed to the Board of directors of the Emerging Markets Private Equity Association. Petty has previously worked for Amroc Investments and Lehman Brothers Holdings.

Scottish Widows Investment Partnership (SWIP) - Narcisa Sehovic has joined the private equity team as investment manager. Previously a director in the M&A advisory team at Alphex One, Sehovic will take over responsibility for the management of all Benelux, CEE and Italian private equity mandates.

Schroders - Michel Vermeulen has been appointed head of institutional sales in the Benelux region with effect from 1 June 2010. Vermeulen will be based in Amsterdam and will maintain Schroders' existing relationships with institutional investors in addition to growing the institutional business in the Benelux region. Vermeulen succeeds Tim van Duren, who moved to Schroders London in a different role, and will report to Ketil Petersen, Schroders' country head of the Nordic region.

Resolute Asset Management - Mike McCarrick will soon join as vice president, real estate asset management, having worked for WCP Management and Waterbridge Group in the past. At Resolute, McCarrick will focus on the asset management of foreclosed properties.

P-Solve - Martin Ross will join the asset management team as associate director in a newly created role responsible for the strategic use of systems and processes. Ross joins from Temenos and will report to P-Solve's head of asset management Paul Kemmer.

Mercer - Sam Tandy has joined as senior client manager within the company's outsourcing business. Tandy, previously contract manager at Capita Hartshead, will also be in charge of Mercer's national client service management team and has over two decades of experience winding up occupational pension schemes.

Fusion Asset Management - Peter Heaps, managing director of Carne Global Cayman Islands, has been announced as a new addition to Fusion volatility funds' Board of directors.

Castle Hill Asset Management - Tom O'Shea has joined the four month old company as a partner, based in the Charlottesville, Virginia office in the United States. Previously, O'Shea was partner at GoldenTree Asset Management.

Pitmans Trustees Limited - Andy Agathangelou joins the company charged with expanding the company's offerings and recruiting new clients. Agathangelou joins from Extra Clients Ltd and was previously employed by Mercer.

Shilling Communication - Matt Frost, Shilling's director, has opened the company's new Dublin office, the first outside of the UK to meet growing demand in the market. The company specialises in communication within the pensions and benefits industry, specifically between employers and employees as well as trustees and scheme members.
