GLOBAL - Unilever, Robeco, Mercer, BlackRock, Franklin Templeton Investments, RBC Dexia Investor Services, Standard Life Investments, State Street Investment Analytics, Goddard Perry Consulting

Unilever - Mark Walker is joining from Mercer to assist in running the company's pension scheme. Walker's move follows the retirement of Angela Docherty as head of the company's corporate pensions team.

Robeco - Tom Steenkamp, currently on the board of directors at APG, has been appointed co-head of Robeco's new department tasked with creating investment products for pension funds. Steenkamp, who assumes his new role in November, will work closely with Artino Jansen.

Mercer - Sathish Ramdayal has joined to head the company's new financial strategy group. Ramdayal joins from P-Solve Asset Solutions where he was associate director, but in the past has worked at Barrie & Hibbert, Watson Wyatt and PricewaterhouseCoopers.

BlackRock - Dirk Klee, formerly managing director of BlackRock Asset Management in Germany, has been promoted to oversee both Austria and eastern Europe in addition to his current German responsibilities. Klee will report to James Charrington, chairman of EMEA, himself promoted to the position in July.

Franklin Templeton Investments - Jamie Hammond has been appointed managing director, Europe, succeeding Hans Wisser. Hammond, previously senior director for northern Europe, will report to Jed Plafker, executive managing director for international advisory services. His promotion also resulted in senior directors Sergio Albarelli and Reinhard Berben's responsibilities being widened. Albarelli will now oversee the Benelux states in addition to southern Europe, while Berben will cover the Nordic region and central Europe.

RBC Dexia Investor Services - John W Thompson has been named chief financial officer, to succeed Kevin Powers. Thompson joins from Canadian insurer the CUMIS Group and has worked for CIBC.

Standard Life Investments
- Adam Harrison joins as investment director for global financial institutions. He previously worked at Syz & Co as UK business development director and will report to Simon Smith, head of specialist sales at his new role.

State Street Investment Analytics - Andy Ashworth has joined SSIA as the head of risk & portfolio analytics and is responsible for directing the development of these services within the UK, Middle East and African markets. Prior to joining, Ashworth was an investment consultant at Aon Consulting.

Goddard Perry Consulting
- Nick Mann has joined as senior adviser from Lyndhurst Financial Management. Mann was an IFA at Lyndhurst, but has also worked for Norwich Union and Standard Life as a broker.
