GLOBAL - SRL Global, Mercer, Lombard Risk Management, Pictet Asset Management, RREEF, ECE
SRL Global - Robin Ellison, former chairman of the UK National Association of Pension Funds (NAPF), has joined the investment technology partner's executive advisory board. Ellison was chairman at the UK National Association of Pension Funds for 10 years and was founder of the Association of Pensions Lawyers. He is currently a partner and head of strategic development for pensions at Pinsent Masons and is a visiting professor in pensions law at both Cass Business School at City University and at Birmingham City University.
Mercer - Dean Cheeseman has joined Mercer as equity portfolio manager in the consultancy's investment management business. Previously head of funds of funds at F&C, Cheeseman will be responsible for discretionary manager selection for global and UK equity mandates and the appointment of fund managers to Mercer's recently launched workplace savings platform. He will oversee more than $2bn (€1.45bn) of discretionary client assets.
Lombard Risk Management - Three new executives have joined Lombard Risk's senior management team following rapid growth in 2010. Paul Tuson joins as chief financial officer and has been appointed to the board of directors. He recently acted as finance director at Aspire Technology, which was successfully sold to Synnex Corporation. Rebecca Bond rejoins the company from FRSGlobal, where she was vice-president of marketing, while Philip Stanning has been hired as group sales director.
Pictet Asset Management - The institutional asset management arm of the Swiss private bank Pictet & Cie has appointed Roman Gaiser as head of high yield and Andres Sanchez Balcazar as co-head of the global and regional bond team. Gaiser was previously at Threadneedle Asset Management, where he was a senior portfolio manager, while Sanchez Balcazar joins from Western Asset Management, where he was one of the senior portfolio managers responsible for global macro, asset and currency allocation.
RREEF - Paul Vosper has joined Deutsche Bank Asset Management's real estate business as head of client relations for the EMEA region. He joins from AllianceBernstein, where he held a similar position for the same region. Prior to this, he was global real estate COO and international head of sales distribution and marketing for Morgan Stanley's Alternative Investment Partners.
ECE - The Hamburg-based real estate project developer has appointed Bärbel Schomberg to its sustainability advisory board. ECE is Germany's first real estate company to set up an advisory committee staffed with external and independent sustainability experts. Prior to setting up her consultancy firm Schomberg & Co., Schomberg served in senior positions in the real estate and financial industry for nearly 30 years.
