GLOBAL - KPMG, Mercer, Fidelity International, Eurosif, bfinance, AXA IM, Allianz Invest KAG, BNY Mellon Asset Servicing, EIOPA

KPMG - Jon Pain, former managing director of supervision at the UK Financial Services Authority, has joined the consultancy's Financial Services Regulatory Centre of Excellence. He will join as a partner in July, after a period of gardening leave from the FSA. Prior to joining the regulator, he was at Lloyds Banking Group for more than 25 years, where he progressed from managing director of private banking to managing director of general insurance and finally head of Cheltenham & Gloucester.
 
Mercer - Emma Douglas has joined the consultancy as UK leader for Workplace Savings. She joins from BlackRock, where she was head of defined contribution (DC) sales from 2007. Between 2000 and 2007, she was head of DC pensions and institutional client relationships at Threadneedle Asset Management. She has held previous roles at JP Morgan Investment Management, Morgan Grenfell Asset Management and Fidelity Investments.

Fidelity International - Chris McNickle will join the company in June as global head of institutional. This is a new position, responsible for delivering the global institutional strategy in conjunction with local institutional teams across Europe and Asia Pacific. McNickle joins from Greenwich Associates, where he is a managing director and has been head of the investment management practice. Prior to joining Greenwich 14 years ago, he worked for a number of financial services firms in the US, including Prudential Retirement Services and JP Morgan.
 
Eurosif - Matt Christensen will leave the company in April after nine years as managing director to become global head of responsible investment at AXA Investment Managers. Guiseppe van der Helm, chair of the board, will replace Christensen in the interim until the company can appoint a permanent replacement.
 
bfinance - Pal Sarai has joined the consultancy's UK team as director of business development in the UK and Ireland. Sarai has more than 16 years' experience in asset management and capital markets and joins from Nordea Investment Management, where he was director of institutional sales in the UK and Switzerland.

Allianz Invest KAG - Sonja König has been named managing director of the capital investment company and will, alongside Martin Maier and Christian Ramberger, shape the strategy of the Austrian KAG. König studied in Vienna and joined Allianz Invest in 2001 as a portfolio manager. By 2009, she was put in charge of risk management and control in 2009.

BNY Mellon Asset Servicing - Sue Baines has joined the company as head of sales for the EMEA. Based in London, she will have responsibility for asset servicing sales and marketing across the region. Baines was formerly senior vice-president, head of GFS Sales, for the EMEA at Northern Trust, and before that, deputy head of sales at Clearstream in Luxembourg.  She also worked for over a decade at Barclays, specialising in securities at Barclays Global Securities Services.

Norges Bank Investment Management - Bengt Enge, chief investment officer at Norges Bank's investment division, has departed with immediate effect. Norges Bank Investment Management, which oversees the assets of the Norwegian Pension Fund Global (NPFG), confirmed Enge's last day would be 4 March. Enge joined Norges 13 years ago in 1998 and has held a number of positions, including global head of external management, before being promoted to chief investment officer in late 2009. Until a replacement has been appointed, chief executive Yngve Slyngstad will take over Enge's duties.

EIOPA - The European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority (EIOPA) has announced the names of members for its Occupational Pensions Stakeholder Group. The group will comprise 30 members overall, with representatives from the industry, social partners, academics and a number of beneficiaries. Industry representatives include chief executive of the European Federation of Retirement Provision Chris Verhaegen and Fritz Janda, head of the Austrian pension fund association FVPK, as well as Niels Kortleve, who is manager of actuarial projects at Dutch asset manager PGGM, and Joachim Schwind of Höchster Pensionskassen in Germany.
