GLOBAL - Mercer, Bluefin Corporate Consulting, SNS Asset Management, Oberaufsichtskommission, Neuberger Berman, SL Investment Management, Generation Investment Management, Deutsche Asset Management

Mercer - Dominic McNamara has joined the consultancy's outsourcing business as a client service manager in the Discontinued Schemes Unit. The unit supports pensions trustees with administration and management services related to the wind-up of schemes. McNamara joins from the Financial Assistance Scheme, where he was a customer account manager. Before then, he held various policy and project management appointments in the Pensions Client Directorate at the Department for Work and Pensions.
 
Bluefin Corporate Consulting - John Hunt has been appointed to the international benefits team at the UK-based employee benefits and technology consultancy. He joins from Aetna Global Benefits, where he was a sales director. His previous experience includes international business development manager at AXA PPP Healthcare, and senior product executive at Saga Services.

SNS Asset Management - Jacob de Wit has been appointed chairman of the board at SNS Asset Management, rejoining the company after a seven-year absence. De Wit, 39, will succeed board member and interim chairman Dick Okhuijsen on 1 October. De Wit is head of fixed income at F&C Asset Management and a member of the executive committee at F&C, which he joined in 2005. Before then, he was head of fixed income at SNS Asset Management and insurer AXA, after a brief period as director at SNS.

Oberaufsichtskommission - The Swiss government has named the director of its new federal pension supervisory body, following the appointment of former liberal party MP Pierre Triponez as its president. As part of structural reforms to the Swiss regulatory system, the new supervisory body - dubbed the Oberaufsichtskommission - will assume responsibility for national oversight at the beginning of next year, with Manfred Hüsler named as the organisation's first director. Hüsler, 50, studied law at Bern University and has spent a number of years working at the country's insurance supervisory body BPV, where he was eventually named vice-president.
 
Neuberger Berman - Joseph Mukungu has been appointed senior vice-president and head of client services for Europe and the Middle East. In this newly created role, Mukungu will manage the team based in Europe responsible for servicing Neuberger Berman's client base outside the US. He will report locally to Dik van Lomwel, head of Europe and the Middle East. He joins from JO Hambro Capital Management, where he was head of client services and relationship management.

SL Investment Management - Louise Witts has been appointed as senior actuary on the product and proposition development team. Previously a partner at Barnett Waddingham, Witts has 20 years' experience in the actuarial consulting industry, including pensions consultancy, investment consultancy, longevity product development and the modelling of construction capital projects.

Generation Investment Management
- Julian Curtis has joined the UK-based sustainable investment management company and will become a partner in its London office. He was previously at Mizuho Corporate Bank, where his most recent role was head of origination for the international acquisition finance division. Before joining Mizuho 11 years ago, he worked for three years at the Royal Bank of Scotland's European leveraged finance team, latterly as director.

Deutsche Asset Management
- Jack Loudoun has joined the London-based fixed income portfolio management team. He will have senior portfolio management responsibility for Deutsche Insurance Asset Management's UK-domiciled clients and global clients who have sterling-denominated investments. He joins after nine years at Invesco Asset Management, where he was responsible for the alpha decisions on gilts and bunds, the UK yield curve and linkers.
