GLOBAL - PGGM, American Century Investments, Pitmans Trustees, BNY Mellon Asset Management, Catella, BNP Paribas Real Estate, Union Investment, Baring Asset Management
PGGM - The asset manager of the €111bn healthcare scheme PFZW has appointed Arjen Pasma as chief risk officer (CRO) as of 1 March. Currently, Pasma is director of financial risk management at Deloitte. Before then, he was heading up Deloitte's investment management and pensions department. PGGM's current CRO, Jac Kragt, is leaving the organisation to take his doctoral degree. He will stay on with PGGM as an external adviser.
American Century Investments - Pensions industry veteran Jamie Downing has been appointed vice-president of the US-based asset manager's London office. Downing will lead intermediary distribution efforts throughout Europe and the Middle East. He joins from Russell Investment, where he held a number of senior roles. Before then, he was pensions implementation manager at Hargreaves Lansdown.
Pitmans Trustees - The UK-based trustee and governance services provider has appointed Kim Nash as a client director to the Reading office and Amy Johnson as a manager of the Leeds office. Nash joins from Towers Watson, where she worked as a benefits consultant. Johnson has worked in the pensions industry for six years, originally with Mercer and more recently Capita Hartshead.
BNY Mellon Asset Management - Sebastien Poulin has been appointed a high-yield analyst within the global fixed income team. He joins from Standard and Poor's, where he was part of the Telecom, Media and Technology analytical team for the EMEA region. Before then, he worked at BNP Paribas as an analyst.
Catella - Mats Andersson has been appointed managing director at Catella subsidiary Fondförvaltning, replacing Stefhan Klang. Andersson joins from Ålandsbanken in Sweden, where he was also managing director. Klang has stepped down to focus on sales and business development within the company.
BNP Paribas Real Estate - Gerardine Davies has been appointed head of UK investment management. Davies was previously at Aegon Asset Management, where she developed the property fund management business. Before then, she was head of retail property funds at Morley Fund Management.
Union Investment - Bernhard Kraus has strengthened Union Investment Institutional Property's management team. Since 1 February, he has been responsible for securities transactions within the framework of real estate bundling solutions. He has served as managing director of sister company Union Investment Institutional since 2008.
Baring Asset Management - Alison Huang has been appointed an investment manager in the multi-asset team based in London. She joins from TT International Investment Management, where she was an equity analyst and, before then, a risk and performance analyst.
