Storebrand - Idar Kreutzer, chief executive at Norwegian financial group Storebrand, is stepping down to join Finance Norway, the trade body for the banking and finance industry. He will leave his position on 1 June and be replaced by Odd Arild Grefstad, who will serve as acting chief executive. He has worked at the company since 1992 and served as chief executive for the last 12 years.
Scottish Widows Investment Partnership (SWIP) - Ian Marsh has been appointed head of marketing. He joins from BlackRock, where he was managing director and head of marketing communications for the EMEA region. Before then, he held a number of senior roles at iShares, E-ON, Sony Ericsson and Vodafone.
Loomis Sayles - Chris Yiannakou has been appointed director of consultant relations. He joins from UBS Global Asset Management, where he was the European head of consultant relations. Before then, he worked as the consultant relations director at Pioneer Investments and prior to that served as a consultant relations manager at Morley Fund Management.
Thomas Miller Investment - John Bearman has been appointed CIO. He will be responsible for the investment team across three offices in London, Edinburgh and the Isle of Man. He joins from Santander Asset Management in the UK, where he also served as CIO. Before then, he was head of UK equities at Insight Investment, where he started his career.
Harcourt Investment Consulting - The Vontobel Asset Management subsidiary has added Jan Viebig and Georg Wessling to its alternatives team. Viebig will serve as head of alternative investments, while Wessling has been appointed deputy head. Viebig replaces former Harcourt chief executive Stephan Fritz, who has left Vontobel. Viebig joins from Credit Suisse, where he was head of emerging market equities. Wessling is currently head of hedge fund advisory at Harcourt.
Baring Asset Management - Alexander Garton has been appointed director of client service and relationship development. Based in London, he will be responsible for managing relationships with institutional clients in the UK. He joins from Evolution Securities, where he was a director in corporate broking.
Investment Management Association (IMA) - Richard Saunders is planning to step down at the end of this year after serving as chief executive for 11 years. The IMA said the process to identify Saunders' successor would commence shortly.
