GLOBAL - NOW: Pensions, The Pensions Administration Standards Association, Barnett Waddingham, KPMG, Lyxor Asset Management, Old Mutual Asset Management, Janus Capital, Pioneer Investments, Baring Asset Management, Momentum, Franklin Templeton Investments

NOW: Pensions - John Harris has been appointed business development director, joining from Capita, while Niall Ferguson has joined as national partnership manager. Ferguson previously worked for RPMI and Abbey National's corporate division. Roger Evlyn-Bufton and Darren Jefferson have also been appointed as national partnership managers, joining from Scottish Widows and Pitmans Trustees, respectively.

Pensions Administration Standards Association (PASA) - Karen Bennett, pensions manager at Associated British Foods, and Phillip Bretnall, COO at HSBC, have been appointed to the board. Both will be required to stand for election by PASA members in July. PASA is an independent body dedicated to driving up standards in pensions administration.

Barnett Waddingham - David Clare has been appointed a partner in the investment practice. Clare was the founder of the consultancy practice at HSBC and is currently deputy chairman at JLT Investment Consulting. Meanwhile, Rod Goodyer and Alex Pocock have also been promoted to partner.

KPMG - Tom Brown, currently European head and deputy global head of investment management, has been appointed global head of investment management. He takes over from Dave Seymour, who will be focusing on the US market. Brown will take up his new position on 1 October.

Lyxor Asset Management - Tim Soetens has been appointed director of business development for the Netherlands. He began his career at Philips Pension Fund as a credit analyst in 2003. After that, he served as vice-president of business development at BlackRock for the Dutch market. For the last four years, he has been sales director of business development for the Benelux market at Schroders.

Old Mutual Asset Management - Pascal Vernaeve has been appointed head of Benelux sales. He joins from Man Group, where he was a manager for institutional clients covering Benelux companies. Before then, he was an associated investment consultant at Towers Perrin.

Janus Capital - Coinciding with the opening of an office in Frankfurt, Christian D'Amico has been named as director of institutions for Germany and Austria, joining from Feri Institutional Advisors, where he was director of business development. Before then, D'Amico worked in the institutional sales business of Weserbank.

Pioneer Investments - Neal Jenkins has been appointed head of sales for the Middle East, Central Asia and Africa region. He joins from Janus Capital Group, where he was head of the Middle East and Africa business. Before then, he worked at Merrill Lynch's joint venture with HSBC.

Baring Asset Management - Mike Levy has been appointed senior investment manager for the EMEA equity team. Based in London, he joins from AllianceBernstein, where he has been an investment manager since 1998. Before then, he was an analyst at Alliance Capital Management.
 
Momentum - Kris Richmond has been appointed as a hedge fund analyst for Momentum Global Investment Management. He joins from PAAMCO, where he focused on long/short equity, event driven, volatility and convertible bond arbitrage strategies. 

Franklin Templeton Investments - Adam Quaife has been named senior director for Central and Eastern Europe and the Middle East. He replaces Andrew Ashton, who will be relocating to San Mateo to take up a newly created role of international head of consultant and research group.
