GLOBAL – Natixis Asset Management, Mercer, Kirstein, Towers Watson, Broadstone, KNG Securities, Palamon Capital Partners, Twelve Capital, Hymans Robertson
Natixis Asset Management – Yves Maillot, formerly Robeco France's head of asset allocation and equity investment, has joined Natixis Asset Management, concluding a restructuring launched in April 2011. Maillot, who spent the majority of his professional life at Dutch asset manager, joined the Natixis Global Asset Management subsidiary at the beginning of the month and will serve as head of NAM's European equity division. Prior to joining Robeco in early 1998, be spent time as a fund manager at Barclays and began his career as a fund manager at Crédit Commercial de France.
Mercer – The consultancy is to adopt a new regional structure incorporating North America, EuroPac (Europe and Pacific/Australia and New Zealand) and growth markets. Pat Milligan has been appointed regional president for North America; Simon O'Regan has been appointed regional president for EuroPac; and, as previously announced, Gaurav Garg, who joined in September, has been appointed regional president for growth markets. O'Regan, who joined Mercer in 1988, has extensive experience in Europe and the Pacific markets, having led businesses for Mercer in both regions.
Kirstein – The Danish consultancy's board has appointed four partners to the company. They include Jan Willers, head of financial market research; Bertel Rasmussen, head of investment and pensions; Anne Mette Lytzen, head of communications and human resources; and Nikolaj Eriksen, head of search and selection. All of the new partners have been employed with Kirstein for a number of years.
Towers Watson – The consultancy has strengthened its international consulting group in London by appointing benefits financing specialist Lisa Stay. She joins from the MAXIS Global Benefits Network, where she spent nearly 10 years as a senior multinational account manager.
Broadstone – David Taylor has been appointed managing director at Broadstone Corporate Benefits. The appointment comes following the corporate client division's recent expansion after acquiring pensions consultancy Pope Anderson. He joins from Marsh (now Mercer), where he has spent nine years, latterly as practice leader in London.
KNG Securities – The fixed income specialist has appointed Andrea Podesta as managing partner and head of fixed income. He joins from Bank of America Merrill Lynch, having held several senior positions at the firm since joining in 2005. He was managing director and head of Southern Europe fixed income sales, having previously built and headed the EMEA debt wholesale distribution team.
Palamon Capital Partners – John David has been appointed managing director of investment strategy. He joins from Allstate Investments, where he spent seven years, latterly as global strategist and head of the London office. Before then, he was a senior portfolio manager at Northwestern Investment Management.
Twelve Capital – Andrew Townend has been made a partner, while Bruno Müller joins as chief operating officer. Townend joins from Swiss Re, where he managed credit risk in structured reinsurance contracts. Müller joins from Clariden Leu, where he was responsible for product finance and controlling within asset management.
Hymans Robertson – Jerry Edmondson has been appointed head of communications. He joins from Jardine Lloyd Thompson, where he was head of benefit communications.
