GLOBAL – Pensions Federation, Threadneedle Investments, PDN, Aon Hewitt, Association of Corporate Trustees, Man Group, Pioneer, Lyxor Asset Management, AXA Investment Managers, Polish Chamber of Pension Funds
Pensions Federation – The Dutch Pensions Federation has appointed Roos Kuip as head of communication. Currently, Kuip is principal consultant for pensions communication at the €60bn pensions provider Syntrus Achmea. She is chairwoman of the federation's communication committee. Kuip succeeds Marjolein Zaal, who has been appointed marketing and communication manager at pensions provider MN Services. Previously, Kuip served as communication manager at the Association for Industry-wide Pension Funds (VB).
Threadneedle Investments – Crispin Henderson, chief executive at Threadneedle, will become vice-chairman of global asset management at Ameriprise Financial, Threadneedle's parent company. Campbell Fleming will take over as Threadneedle's new chief executive. Henderson joined the asset manager in 2002 from PricewaterhouseCoopers and its predecessor firms, where he worked for 35 years.
PDN – Jos Schneiders is to leave as chairman of PDN, the €5.2bn pension fund of chemicals manufacturer DSM, after four years at the helm. He will be succeeded by Atzo Nicolaï as of 1 January. Schneiders has already taken early retirement. Nicolaï – a former MP for the liberal party VVD – has been chief executive at DSM since June 2011.
Aon Hewitt – Joe Murphy has joined the global asset allocation team within the investment consulting practice. He joins from British Telecom Pension Scheme Management, where he was a derivatives overlay manager and multi-asset strategist on the BT Pension Scheme. Before then, he spent four years at Bank of Ireland Asset Management.
Association of Corporate Trustees – Giles Orton, chairman of Bridge Trustees, the pensions trustee company owned by law firm Eversheds, has been appointed president. He previously held the position of vice-president and takes over the role of president from Wilson Cotton of Smith & Williamson.
Man Group – Peter Clarke is to retire as chief executive and step down from the board. He will be succeeded by Emmanuel Roman, currently president and COO. Clarke will work with Roman during a handover period, which will last until 28 February 2013. The appointment is subject to FSA approval.
Pioneer – Vianney Hocquet has joined as a corporate portfolio manager, while Elisabeth Van Sante joined as a credit analyst. Hocquet joins from BNP Paribas, where he was a credit trader on the fixed income proprietary desk. Van Sante joins from Credit Agricole, where she was a credit research analyst.
AXA Investment Managers – Rodrigo Ostik has been appointed as a derivatives manager, reporting to Shalin Bhagwan, UK head of liability-driven investment.
Lyxor Asset Management – Arnaud Llina has been appointed global head of the Lyxor ETF and indexing business. Since 2008, Llina has worked on Lyxor's ETF business development team, heading the listed products trading team.
Polish Chamber of Pension Funds (IGTE) – Dariusz Stańko is leaving the IGTE as adviser. He will continue his research in the field of pensions as assistant professor at the Department of Social Insurance of the Warsaw School of Economics. Wojciech Nagel will take over as chairman.
