GLOBAL – L&G, LGIM, Kuber Ventures, Aon Hewitt, ICI Global, T. Rowe Price
Legal & General (L&G) – L&G has appointed Simon Gadd as chief risk officer and Kerrigan Procter, as managing director of the firm's annuities business. Procter will report to John Pollock, executive director of the protection and annuities business. Aaron Meder, head of US pension solutions for L&G Investment Management America (LGIMA), has been promoted to global head of solutions group, succeeding Procter. Meder will report to Mark Zinkula, CEO of LGIM.
Kuber Ventures – Brett Williams has joined the firm as an advisor to the senior management team. Williams, who has acted as chief executive of both Skandia UK and Cofunds, brings experience of mainstream platforms to the firm's full service multi-manager platform for Enterprise Investment Scheme (EIS) portfolios. Alongside his Kuber role, Williams is also managing partner of the recently launched alternative investments company Old Burlington Investments, which has an initial focus on EIS.
Aon Hewitt – The consultancy has appointed Ian Smart and Paul Whelan to the manager research team of its investment consulting practice. Smart joins Aon Hewitt after three years with Helvetica Wealth Management Partners in Geneva, where he was a managing director and portfolio manager. Whelan was previously with Aviva Investors where he was a fund manager on credit fixed income funds.
ICI Global – Robert Higginbotham, head of global investment services at T. Rowe Price, will chair the ICI Global steering committee. The steering committee develops agenda and policy focus of the trade organisation, which focus on regulatory, market, and other issues for global investment funds, their managers and investors.
