Rose was previously head of ALM and investment strategy at the consultancy, having joined from Morgan Stanley in 2008. He will work with the ALM, investment consulting and manager research teams to manage the delivery of technical investment strategy and risk management advice to institutional clients. Separately, Dan Mikulskis and Steven Yang Yu have been named co-heads of asset and liability modelling.
NAEV – Dirk Lepelmeier, the former managing director responsible for asset management at the Versorgungswerk for doctors in North Rhine-Westphalia, is now working at Lepcam AG in Düsseldorf, which appears to be his own asset management consultancy, judging from the online registry entry. Rumours have been spreading in German media that Lepelmeier left his position at the €10bn pension fund – but they remained unconfirmed.
Fonds de Réserve pour les Retraites (FRR) – Jean-Philippe Olivier has left his role as head of the delegated department. He started in his new role as CIO at COFACE, a company providing credit insurance contracts, at the beginning of May. He will act as an adviser to DB and DC trust-based UK pension funds, as well as lead the expansion of fiduciary manager monitoring and selection services. He joins from Aon Hewitt, where he led the global investment management research team.
Royal London – Roger Edwards, managing director of UK Protection at the UK's largest mutual life and pensions company, is to leave the company. Liquidnet – Julien Fougere has been appointed head of trading coverage for the EMEA region, with responsibility for developing Liquidnet's buy-side institutional member relationships. He joins from Merrill Lynch, where he was managing director of pan-European sales trading.
