GLOBAL – ASIP, Polish Chamber of Pension Funds, The Pensions Regulator, Danske Bank, BNP Paribas Securities Services, Insight Investment, F&C, Dexia Asset Management, Barnett Waddingham, Miton Capital Partners
ASIP – Switzerland's pension association has re-elected current president Christoph Ryter for a third term and named two new vice-presidents. Former vice-presidents Jean Pfitzmann of the pension fund for watchmaker Swatch and Brigitte Schmid of Swiss RE's scheme were unable to seek re-election, having served the maximum of five terms. Markus Moser of the Norvatis pension fund and Olivier Sandoz of FER, Geneva's business association, are to replace them.
Polish Chamber of Pension Funds – Małgorzata Rusewicz has been appointed chair. She worked as an expert in the Social Insurance Institute and the Institute of Labour and Social Affairs. She also acted as an expert in labour market and insurance law co-operating with the European Commission. Wojciech Nagel, the previous chairman, resigned due to personal reasons, although he will continue his co-operation with the chamber.
The Pensions Regulator – The UK regulator has announced that Andrew Warwick-Thompson, appointed executive director for defined contribution in March, has joined the board. It also confirmed that Stephen Soper, current head of defined benefit regulation, would continue as a board member.
Danske Bank – Torgny Krook has been appointed global head of financial and institutional clients at Denmark's Danske Bank, with effect from 1 May. He joins from Nordea, where he has been global head of institutions for the last nine years. Krook will be responsible for Danske Bank's relations with institutions, banks, supranationals, insurance companies, hedge funds and other financial institutions. The bank said the new appointment underlined its ambitions regarding institutional clients.
BNP Paribas Securities Services – Annalisa Winge Bicknell has been appointed regional head of sales and relationship management for institutional clients. She joins from SEB, where she was asset-servicing consultant for the Nordics, Luxembourg and Germany. Previous roles include head of international sales at Northern Trust, Nordic regional manager at Clearstream Banking in Luxembourg and relationship manager at Morgan Stanley.
Insight Investment – Paul Trickett will join board of directors, pending regulatory approval, just one week after Thomas Miller Investment confirmed the industry veteran would also join its board. Trickett resigned from his role as head of multi-asset class and fiduciary management at Goldman Sachs Asset Management at the end of April.
F&C – Nick Woodward has been appointed as structurer in the LDI team, while Kristy Barr joins as director of sales and client relationships. Barr joins from Callanish Capital Partners, where she was a founding partner and head of marketing and investor relations. Woodward joins from KPMG's investment advisory division, where he worked as head of modelling and LDI.
Dexia Asset Management – Stefan Paulus has been named senior relationship manager, responsible for clients in Liechtenstein and German-speaking Switzerland. He joins from Julius Bär's Zurich office, where he worked as fund and asset manager, as well as salesman responsible for Germany and Switzerland.
Barnett Waddingham – Damian Stancombe has been appointed as a partner to lead the employee benefits and defined contribution team. He joins from Punter Southall Group, where he worked for 12 years, latterly as director of P-Solve. Before then, he served as head of corporate DC.
Miton Capital Partners – Jim Davies had been appointed a non-executive chairman, subject to approval by the FCA. Davies co-founded DWF in 1977 and stepped down from his role as senior partner in April 2012 and from the group last week.
