GLOBAL – VBA, PP Pension, Brand New Day, Spence & Partners, Schroders
VBA – Anne-Marie Munnik starts as director of the Dutch occupational association for investment professionals (VBA) on 1 July. Currently, she is head of investment research at asset manager and pensions provider MN. Previously, Munnik has served as an investment analyst and strategist at several banks. Between 2002 and 2008, she was a board member of the VBA.
PP Pension – Kjell Norling is taking up the reins at the Swedish pension fund for media and journalists on 1 July. He replaces Helene Nilsson, who took up the role on an interim basis following the resignation of Viveka Ekberg last autumn. Nilsson will resume her role as deputy chief executive and head of administration. Norling joins from KPMG, where he was head of asset management advice.
Brand New Day – Jan Willem Hoitsma has been appointed commercial director at Brand New Day PPI, a provider of low-cost collective defined contribution plans in the Netherlands. He is responsible for marketing, sales and co-operation with professional pensions advisers. Hoitsma joins from pensions insurer Zwitserleven, where he was director of distribution.
Spence & Partners – Cyril Gaffney has been appointed as an administration consultant in the Belfast office. The newly created role comes on the back of a UK-wide expansion for the firm. Gaffney is an associate member of the Pensions Management Institute and the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators. He has also worked as a pensions administration professional at Mercer and PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Schroders – Rory Bateman has been promoted from head of European equities to head of UK and European equities with immediate effect. Bateman's fund management responsibilities remain unchanged. In creating this new role, Schroders will also combine the value investing activities in the UK and Europe into one value team.
