GLOBAL – National Association of Pension Funds, Pensions-Sicherungs-Verein, Deutsche Post, B&CE, Amundi, RICS, DCLG
National Association of Pension Funds (NAPF) – Joanne Segars, chief executive of the NAPF, has been named as chairman of the shadow board formed to advise the UK's Department for Communities and Local Government on reform to the Local Government Pensions Schemes (LGPS). The shadow board is being set up as a predecessor to a formal national advisory board launched to offer advice on the LGPS, as well as assist schemes, as part of changes due to take effect next year.
Pensions-Sicherungs-Verein – Sven Rogge, who left Deutsche Post at the end of last month, has been announced as the head of asset management at Germany's lifeboat fund for pension schemes. Rogge spent five years as senior expert for group pensions within the German postal service, responsible for risk and asset management for its pension offering. One of his two replacements at Deutsche Post will be Frederic Poizat, formerly of Generali Deutschland.
B&CE – Darren Philp, current director of policy at the NAPF, is set to join construction industry financial provider B&CE as head of policy from October. Philp joined the NAPF in 2010 after several years at the UK Treasury. A spokesman at the NAPF said it would soon begin recruiting for Philp's replacement.
Amundi Asset Management – Christopher Crystal has been named head of distribution for the Nordic region, working out of the manager's Swedish office. Crystal joins from DWS, where he spent five years as head of retail sales. He has also worked within institutional sales at Nordea's Stockholm office. He began his career at Prudential Securities, but has also worked at Handelsbanken.
Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors – Amanda Clack, real estate and infrastructure consulting partner at PwC, has been elected vice-president of the professional body for the property profession. Clack has previous experience at the RICS, sitting on its governing council for more than a decade. Prior to joining PwC in 2007, Clack worked at Hornagold and Hills.
