UK - The £1.2bn (€1.8bn) Whitbread Group Pension Fund have appointed Watson Wyatt as its investment consultant.
"The pension fund trustees of the Whitbread Group Pension Fund have appointed Watson Wyatt as their independent Investment Consultants, following a review of advisers," the provider said in a release.
It said: "The mandate is to provide ongoing investment advice to the pension plan, which has assets of around £1.2bn."
According to www.pensionfundsonline.co.uk, other advisers to the fund include Frank Russell Co., Hewitt Associates and Cambridge Associates.
"This is a significant appointment for us and a good opportunity to demonstrate to Whitbread the value we feel we can add to its pension scheme," added Paul Trickett, Watson's European head of investment consulting.
