IRELAND – The Bank of New York is expanding its services for alternative assets, specifically for European-based hedge fund managers.
To head up the push Ian Headon has been appointed as group manager for alternative investment services in Dublin. He was formerly head of hedge fund accounting and administration with PFPC International in Dublin.
In the new role, Headon will have overall responsibility for providing administrative and operational solutions to European-based hedge fund managers.
Fred Riccardi, head of global fund services Europe, said that the company was expanding its presence and service capabilities in Europe. “We are committed to the servicing of alternative assets, specifically hedge-funds,” he added.
According to hedge fund advisors Rasini and Co. there are currently around 300 hedge fund managers in Europe.
