FRANCE – CDC IXIS Capital Markets (CICM) has poached 11 team members from DTZ Corporate Finance, including managing director John van Oost, to further strengthen its real estate investment banking team.
The team, which will continue to be led by van Oost at CICM, co-advised on the sale of British Telecom’s €3.86 property portfolio early last year and worked closely with CICM in its successful bid for France Telecom’s €3bn property assets.
The team has a mandate at CICM to provide a full range of corporate finance services, concentrating on the acquisition, disposal, restructuring and refinancing of real estate portfolios.
Says van Oost: “We look forward to working closely with other divisions of the CDC Group on a wide range of property related services which tie in to the CDC Group’s core mission.”
Anthony Orsatelli, chairman of the executive board of CICM, adds: “We are confident that the real estate investment banking division will further develop CICM’s competitive edge.”
