** GAM appoints new marketing head**
Global Asset Management (GAM) in London has appointed Clare Dobie as managing director – marketing.
Dobie joins from Barclays Global Investors Europe where she was head of risk management, having previously been head of marketing.
At GAM she will be responsible for the company’s global marketing strategy and brand development, as well as external and internal communications and internet marketing.

**BBX expands European FX team**
Brown Brothers Harriman Foreign Exchange (BBH FX) has appointed Matthew Van Dyckhoff as assistant vice president in BBH FX’s London office.
Van Dyckhoff joins from Citibank, where he most recently worked with institutional clients on the professional investor desk.

**Butterfield boosted at Bank of Bermuda**
Philip M. Butterfield has been appointed chief operating officer of the Bank of Bermuda.
Butterfield joined the Bank as chief administration officer last year, after spending 28 years at Citibank, where his last position was managing director.

**Pareto appoints new marketing heads**
Pareto Partners has made the following in-house appointments.
David Lass moves up to become head of global marketing in New York, having been head of Europe and Middle East marketing. Lass has been at Pareto for nine years.
Alex Over will take over Lass’s position as head of Europe and Middle East marketing as well as becoming senior vice president in London, moving from head of UK and Nordic region marketing.
He will also be responsible for the development of alternative distribution channels.

**Man has new PR manager**
Alternative investment management company, Man Group, has appointed Sally Cady as new group public relations manager.
Cady joins from financial and corporate public relations agency, Golin/Harris Ludgate, where she was divisional director. At Man she will report to finance director, Peter Clarke.
