UK- Morley fund Management has appointed Rothschild Asset Management’s former head of fixed income Ceris Williams as head of sovereign bonds. Williams will report to Peter Rains, head of fixed income and treasury, when he joins in September.
Morley has also appointed Camilla Reeves as a pan European small cap fund manager. She joins from Lombard Odier, where she worked in the European small and mid cap team, and will report to the head of small cap investing, Neil Herman.
Paula Allen, a north American equities manager at Deutsche AM is joining as a global themes fund manager, responsible for a number of retail and institutional clients. Morley has also added to its research team with the appointment of Hitesh Thakrar, a technology analyst at DKW.
The announcements come a day after it was confirmed that Dexia BIL’s head of asset management Philip Manduca would be heading up the group’s new e3.2bn alternative investment division. Manduca says they will be developing the existing private equity fund of funds and will launch a number of new hedge and private equity funds.
