* Jännäri re-appointed to Finnish FSA *
Kaarlo Jännäri has been reappointed for a further six years as head of the Finnish Financial Supervisory Authority (RATA) by president of the republic Tarja Halonen. Jännäri will start his new run on February 2.

* Drapeau to Russell *
Nicolas Drapeau has joined Frank Russell Company in Paris as European private equity analyst. He will be responsible for researching managers for the company’s private equity funds of funds. Drapeau was formerly with Capital International CDPQ, a subsidiary of the Caisse de Dépôt et de Placement du Québec in Montreal.

* NT sees value in Callaghan *
David O’Callaghan has been hired as the new head of valuations and fund accounting at Northern Trust Investor Services in Ireland. Callaghan joins from Chase Manhattan Bank, where he was a senior group manager.
In a separate move Elaine Austin has been appointed head of human resources at Northern Trust fund services in Ireland.

* Transition for Bednall *
Martin Bednall has been appointed transitions manager at Barclays Global Investors’ London office. Previously, Bednall worked for State Street in transition management for Europe, Africa and the Middle East.

* INVESCO fixes on Robelin *
Raphael Robelin is moving to INVESCO Asset Management in London as global fixed income fund manager, focusing on European credit. Robelin joins from Saudi International Bank, where he was senior fixed income investment manager.

* Avocet picks Kodeeswaran *
Priyanthan Kodeeswaran has moved to Avocet Capital Management’s stock picking team from Deutsche Asset Management. At Deutsche he specialised in emerging markets equities and European technology.

* Stirling shifts to Standard Life *
Euan Stirling is joining the UK fund management team of Standard Life as an investment director. Stirling moves from Schroders Investment Managers.

* F&C recruits Siddles *
Robert Siddles has been recruited to Foreign & Colonial Management as head of US smaller companies. Formerly, he was head of US equities at Gartmore.

* Chueh to BAM *
Angelina Chueh has been appointed as director and senior product specialist for fixed income at Baring Asset Management. Chueh joins Baring from Bank Boston where she was managing director and head of global capital markets.
