UK – Paul Couchman, the former head of consulting for London and the southeast of England at Mercer Human Resource Consulting, has joined two-year-old consulting firm Premier Pensions Management.
Croydon-based PPM, set up by former Mercer consultant Dai Smith, said Couchman would join on September 1 as a director. He left Mercer in May after he was replaced as head of Mercer’s UK pensions administration practice by Patrick Cosgrave the previous August.
“I am delighted that somebody with Paul’s experience and knowledge of the benefits business has decided to join the firm at this stage of our development,” Smith said.
“I am excited about the possibilities for PPM and I am looking forward to working with Dai and his team to grow the business,” said Couchman, who was at Mercer for 22 years.
“They have had a very successful first couple of years with a very customer focused approach to working with their clients and the changes in the industry provide significant opportunities for further growth.”
PPM says it has 20 employees including six senior consultants who previously worked for large firms.
