UK - Jardine Lloyd Thompson has hired Roger MacNicol from KPMG to head its Glasgow office.
JLT said MacNicol joins its consulting and actuarial team as consulting director and as Glasgow office head. He takes over from Alan Grant, who had moved to London as head of investment consulting.
JLT has also hired Brendan Turley as head share schemes and employment law.
JLT Benefit Solutions' managing director Lyndon Jones said: "I am very pleased to be welcoming Roger and Brendan to our business; both have an excellent reputation within the employee benefits sector and will use their in-depth knowledge to develop key growth areas at JLT."
MacNicol was formerly a principal consultant at KPMG in Scotland. He said: "My principal focus will be to ensure that client service standards are maintained at their current high levels, while the Scottish client base is developed further."
The firm said yesterday that its business will benefit from planned UK pension reform - and that it will move into human resource advice and administration. It also saw "good growth opportunities" for its employee benefits arm in the pensions consulting and administration fields, adding that it was "well placed to make further progress in this area".
