BELGIUM – Carl Haeck has been appointed managing director of the newly formed Akkermans Stroobants & Partners, based in Antwerp, as from July 1.

Haeck joins from VKG/CPM Amonis, the pension fund for doctors, dentists and chemists in Belgium, where he has been finance director.

The new pensions service company is being established jointly by Dutch group Akkermans and Karel Stroobants, who formerly headed the VKG/CPM fund in Brussels and set up its Amonis insurance operation.

The joint venture will start operations later this year and offer “full service pension concepts” to the Belgian market.

Akkermans has been active in the Dutch marketplace for a number of years providing administration, education/training and other support services to the pensions sector. It is based in Tilburg.

Stroobants says: “We are delighted that Carl Haeck is joining us. I have known him for some years and worked with him in the past.”

VKG/CPM was not able to respond before deadline.
