NETHERLANDS – The OPF, the Dutch company pension fund foundation, has appointed a former government official as its new secretary for supervision and financial markets.
Piet van der Graaff, who takes on the role on June 15, has worked in several management positions at the Ministry of Social Affairs and Ministry of Economic Affairs.
He studied at the Erasmus University of Rotterdam, where he graduated in economics.
His main tasks at the OPF will be as secretary of the investment committee and advise on issues regarding supervision by De Nederlandsche Bank and the AFM markets authority.
According to OPF chairman Frans Prins van der Graaff has been appointed due to his vast experience in the financial economic sectors and knowledge about supervision.
The position is a new one at the OPF, prompted by a partial overhaul of the organisation and the need to expand policy sector research.
