SWEDEN – Stockholm-based Carlson Investment Management has announced that the company now presents performance results in compliance with the Global Investment Performance Standards (GIPS).
The firm was given independent third-party verification of its claim of compliance by auditing firm Deloitte & Touche.
Carlson says that GIPS verification has significantly improved the quality of internal routines within the area of performance measurement and presentation.
The Swedish manager has included all assets the company manages around the world in at least one composite.
“To my knowledge we are, if not the first so at least one of the first global asset managers being GIPS compliant for the entire global operation”, says P.O Öst, head of institutional marketing at Carlson. “It has been quite a cumbersome project, since we decided to include all of our portfolios. But the fact that we did, gives our marketing process the highest degree of credibility.”
