UK – The Association of Consulting Actuaries (ACA) has elected Gordon Pollock, a word-wide partner with William M. Mercer, as its new chairman.
Pollock, the ACA’s honorary treasurer since 1998, takes over in June from Mike Arnold, a senior partner with Hymans Robertson, whose two year term of office is up.
Says Pollock: “I take on the role at an immensely challenging time. UK pensions, where the majority of our members advise, are in a state of flux, with many organisations reviewing their occupational arrangements because of cost and regulatory pressures.”
The ACA has over 1,300 members working in over 80 firms. The chairmanship is rotated every two years, without the possibility of re-election.
